    Membership

    Annual Fee

The annual subscription for Nambour Bowls Club membership is $120 which includes affiliation fees for all levels of the sport. The membership fee for bowlers who have paid affiliation fees at another club is just $25. A $10 nomination fee for club membership applies while a once only $12.50 fee is imposed by Bowls Queensland on those members joining a bowls club in Queensland for the first time. Reciprocal access to and eligibility to play at all other bowls clubs throughout Australia is included with membership.

    Playing Fees

The cost of participating in a game of bowls varies from club to club and from game to game, depending on the circumstances, but the usual playing (green) fee for a social game at Nambour is about $12.00. Low membership and green fees plus competitive bar service prices are made possible through strong support from the friendly team of volunteers. Roll-ups are free for members while new bowlers are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the free coaching available.

    Applications

The membership process involves completing the Application Form, having it nominated by two current members and then submitting the completed application to the Club. So come in and have a chat with us and we will assist you with the necessary paper work. Once approved by the Management Committee, you will receive notification and be asked to pay the appropriate fees. A Membership Card will be issued and you will then be entitled to use all the facilities of the Club.

For more information about any aspect of membership, visit the Club one day soon or complete the Contact Form.

    Management

The general management of the Nambour Bowls Club is controlled by a Management Committee (Board) which operates in accordance with the Constitution, By-Laws and Rules of the Club. The “amalgamated” structure provides opportunities for both male and female members to contribute towards the Club’s ongoing business success.

The management of the game of lawn bowls and its associated activities rests with two sections, the Men’s and Ladies’ Divisions, each of which operates under a committee structure.
